As either BIPOC, member of the LGBTQIA+ community, or both, you feel misunderstood, rejected, invalidated, frightened, lost, and separated from humanity in a heteronormative world. The constant fear of being threatened often makes you feel small, invisible, and angry when trying to advocate for your needs. Colleagues, family members, friends, and partners have been dismissive or invalidating of your existence and experiences, rather than loving. Consequently, navigating the world becomes extremely difficult in an endless search for acceptance.
