Hello, welcome to my practice. In our time together, my goal is for you to experience yourself as a unique individual along with understanding that there is nothing uniquely wrong with you. People are often judged for having problems. if you use insurance to pay for sessions, therapists are required to give you a diagnosis, indicating what is wrong and what needs to be fixed. This is not the way I look at people. There is no one who is free from suffering, which is not even the problem. Instead our "struggles" stem from a lack of compassion towards ourselves. I view trauma as a common denominator for our struggles. We have all been hurt. I strive to listen with an open heart, also recognizing that some people do not express themselves easily (I am not the "silent type" of therapist).
