My approach to therapy is to create an active and dynamic collaboration with clients who want to explore and understand current difficulties as part of the larger picture of their lives. With increasing awareness, clients are then able to make more conscious choices for themselves. Additionally my practice includes working with clients from different cultural backgrounds. Since it is important to understand the context in which problems occur and are experienced, I develop therapeutic approaches that not only take into account but also build upon the person's specific cultural system.
