You don’t have to keep living inside the patterns that once kept you safe. For many of us raised between cultures, love was learned through silence, self-sacrifice, or survival. As a second-generation Asian American therapist, I honor the grief, loyalty, and tenderness carried across generations. I walk alongside AAPI and immigrant clients as they soften old defenses, make sense of inherited stories, and slowly reconnect with parts of themselves that long to feel safe, seen, and held.
