Congratulations on taking this first step toward your therapeutic goals! My journey into the helping professions began as a NYC educator and then as a clinician in school settings, where I provided a safe, affirming space for queer and gender-diverse students, supported adolescents in navigating emotional regulation and trauma recovery, and helped parents with responsive parenting techniques. These experiences along with my lived experiences as a South Bronx native have shaped my deeply rooted commitment to culturally competent and affirming care—especially for those in BIPOC communities who often face systemic barriers to support.
