A quality connection and trusting relationship between a client and therapist is the foundation to personal growth and healing. People are incredibly resilient when they have the support that they need. I've been working with people since I earned my bachelor's degree in 2000, and became a "therapist" in 2010 when I earned my master's. I've worked with children and adults in both rural and urban communities across the state of Michigan in residential, outpatient, and community-based programs. In order to grow, you need to feel that you are really being heard. Quite often, people find their own solutions when they have the space to talk things out. I can offer alternative perspectives and ways to respond to your circumstances. The primary goal is that you build your own "skillset" to help you cope better even after therapy ends.
