My most extensive experiences are with people who have had issues with substance addiction, recovery, and domestic/relationship abuse. Many individuals have also had co-ocurring issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma that create additional legal, social, and spiritual issues. Goals for therapy include recovery from addiction, better emotional and physical health, and restoring healthy family and social relationships. To me, successful therapy is about facilitating personal and professional growth and helping people to process their feelings and thoughts. In so doing, they are able to make important changes in their lives.
