There is a whole array of diagnosis out there and people face problems daily and I don't think it is our job as clinicians to fix these issues but be a light in the dark and walk beside struggling individuals as they find a way to heal. I have 11 years of practice in CBT/DBT techniques, and I am trained in EMDR, IFS, and Play Therapy. I think the most important technique and intervention though is just being a great listener and allowing patients to create a safe space with you to share intimate details that they may not have the ability to share with others.
