I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed School Adjustment Counselor. I am also an Associate Professor at a nationally known Master of Social Work program. At the University, I teach future social workers and therapists advanced clinical practice skills. I have been practicing therapy for over 35 years. I use a variety of approaches to help people make positive changes in their lives. I specialize in working with adolescents, families, individuals, and couples who are dealing with issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictions of all types (substances and behavioral). My experience has been extensive: inpatient, private practice and teaching. I am a humanistic-relational therapist and I use cognitive behavioral techniques and strength-based therapy as primary methods while I am also trained in using hypnosis, EMDR, DBT, and several other body-oriented alternative therapies.
