My approach to psychotherapy is influenced in large part by my own experience of existing as a sensitive and emotional human. It’s also influenced by my background in the visual arts which influences me to see the therapeutic space as one that is creative, dynamic and even playful. I try to operate from a baseline of empathy, curiosity and non-judgment. I work primarily from a Gestalt therapy style, from which I emphasize the power of the therapeutic relationship and the here-and-now experiences that emerge as the therapeutic process unfolds. I also utilize somatic experiencing, EMDR, and attachment style in my therapeutic approach.
