I am a Deg Xinag Athabascan woman from Alaska. My therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic theory, which emphasizes the inherent worth of every individual and focuses on self-growth, personal meaning, and the ability to make choices that align with one’s authentic self. My approach also includes focusing on self-growth and authenticity, and postmodern social work, which challenges power structures and embraces diverse perspectives. This supports individuals who’ve felt marginalized or disconnected due to trauma, societal pressures, or systemic barriers. Community, culture and connection are part of my practice.
