When it comes to specific diagnostic criteria and mental health needs, especially for the neurodivergent population, the word "deficit" comes up often. I am a firm believer that there are no "deficits" being observed, rather what is being observed is a nervous system that has its very own set of "rules"! My approach is strength-focused and rooted in my child development/developmental psychology background! I am neurodiversity-affirming and enjoy utilizing skills and tools that are individualized and meet you where you are at - on any given day.
