About
Karen has extensive inpatient and partial hospitalization experience. She has worked with clients whose problems have spanned from very seriously impaired individuals to very highly functioning persons. She uses a psychodynamic framework as well as brief therapy methods drawn from cognitive-behavioral and expressive therapies. Karen has been a senior psychotherapist with the practice since 2002. When not practicing psychotherapy, she can often be found painting. Karen earned her master’s in social work from Yeshiva University and practiced in New York City prior to relocating to California in 1992.
