Hello! I'm Karen O'Malley, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I see being a therapist as a privilege to get to know you and the unique circumstances that bring you towards seeking therapy. Most commonly, my area of focus is based on mental wellness and life adjustment issues as well as trauma-informed care. The client-centered approach describes my approach best. As a client, you know yourself better than anyone whether you are aware of this or not. I tend to broaden this approach borrowing from several theoretical approaches such as CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and DBT.
