About
Kay’s Safe Space provides therapeutic counseling to adolescents and adults in a nurturing, supportive environment that allows clients to speak their truth. Having worked over 20 years specializing in complex trauma, particularly with women who experience Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and sexual trauma,I felt compelled to create a Safe Space for individuals to feel empowered and capable of restoring themselves to their optimal level of functioning. Together we will work on their individual needs using a combination of treatment modalities such as CBT, Mindfulness techniques and Trauma Informed Approaches. I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents who have a history of abuse; sexual, verbal physical abuse. Past incarceration or truancy and acting out behaviors.
