With a background as a long-time middle school special education teacher, mental health therapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and as a foster/adoptive parent, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work with families. I specialize in supporting youth and caregivers facing challenges such as developmental trauma, ADHD, ODD, autism (including PDA), anxiety, depression, and attachment-struggles (including RAD). Caregivers often feel judged because of the way their kid behaves, and I'll never do that. I empathize with caregivers & work to help kids & parents understand each other & communicate better. View 5 Photos I often tell caregivers, “there’s no instruction manual for raising kids.” Adolescence, & the the years leading up to it can be some of the most challenging and confusing times for both youth & caregivers. With concerns of bullying, and the constant influence of social media & world events, kids need a space where they can feel heard, seen, & supported.
