As a clinician, I simply hold the map; you are driving the car. My purpose is to show you the different routes you can take to get to where you want to go - ultimately, you determine the best way for you. The therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy- connection and trust is key. I feel it is a privilege to be invited into a sacred space and work on sensitive issues. Feelings of grief, loneliness, isolation, desperation, sadness, guilt, shame, low confidence, poor self-image can be heavy weights to carry. There is hope; there is light, and there is a path forward.
