Hello, my name is Khiana Simmons, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with a Masters in Social Work from The Catholic University of America. I have been practicing therapy for seven years. Currently, I am a grief counselor and have been focusing on helping clients navigate life without their loved ones presence on earth. I have worked in hospital settings, hospice, schools, and private practice. In our first session, we will focus on building rapport with one another. This is an important step in the process, as it will set the foundation of the work we will complete together. We will discuss challenges you are facing, and we will set measurable goals that you would like to work on to improve the symptoms that you are experiencing.
