“Change” is possible, but it is never straightforward especially when we find ourselves in the middle of it. As human beings, I believe our entire lives are inherently developmental in nature. The complex process by which we may courageously begin to show up differently in our lives, and even in ourselves can be incredibly difficult to navigate at times. We are not meant to accomplish this on our own, and this is especially true after any sustained trauma. Everyone—regardless of age—is deserving of a space devoted to their growth and recovery. I am a firm believer there is no one-size-fits-all solution to the problem of being human!
