Currently accepting new clients. I have been working in the field of mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment for more than 35 years, after graduating from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. I am currently practicing with my LCAC at Old Towne Counseling of Newburgh, LLC., following my retirement from Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare/Stepping Stone after 30 years. I have experience working with individuals struggling with mental health, addiction, and relationship issues. I offer a safe and welcoming space to those in need of counseling services. I use a client-centered approach and assist clients with identifying goals to support positive change in their life. I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and the Matrix Model (to address substance abuse).
