I'm Kim, the proud owner and founder of Cresting Wave Counseling. With over three decades as a licensed professional counselor, I've dedicated my career to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s most challenging transitions. Since 1982, I’ve been happily married, raised six children, welcomed three children-in-law, and experienced the joy of being a grandmother to thirteen amazing grandchildren. These personal experiences have given me a unique perspective to support clients through life changes, including the empty nest phase, blending families, parenting challenges, and the "sandwich generation." As an active member of the faith-based community, I believe in the partnership between therapy and spirituality. The emotional and spiritual impact of trauma, stress, anxiety, and pain is real, and that's where my vocations intersect. In my practice, I integrate spirituality with therapeutic approaches to help clients find healing and balance.
