I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in counseling as well as teaching undergraduate and graduate social work students. I have worked with both adult and children who have experienced trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ issues and concerns, family conflict, domestic violence, and substance use disorders. My passion is to empower individuals to find their path and their happiness, so they are able to move forward. My theoretical approach to treatment is varied but grounded in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I also use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy.
