Hello! My name is Kristy Council and I am a licensed psychotherapist. I have been in private practice in Towson, MD for more than 20 years and work with teens and adults. I do individual, couples and family therapy and utilize multiple modalities including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), an ecosystemic model, solution-focused theory and am in the process of completing training in the Gottman Method for couples work. I employ a very holistic approach and incorporate meditation, breath work and mindfulness into my practice if that is desired. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive function issues, learning differences, grief and loss, LGBTQ and teen/parent challenges.
