My approach is to meet the people where they are and provide a safe space so that healing can happen. I work with the client to establish their goals and help them find ways to reach those desired goals. I have many years of experience working with first responders and am culturally sensitive. I understand the unique needs of first responders as it relates to trauma, crisis, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, job-related stress, job security, suicide, life transition to retirement, etc. I know how difficult it can be to reach out to a therapist and you want to be sure that they understand your work and life culture. I graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from CSU Sacramento and in 2016 with a Master's Degree in Social Work from CSU Sacramento. I have worked in various areas of social work to include; Child and Adult Welfare systems, trauma social worker in the ED, Alcohol and Other drugs, forensic interviewing and working alongside LE, etc.
