One’s mental health journey is like spelunking- the exploration of caves. Sometimes we find ourselves in the dark depths of suffering, be it through trauma, shame, depression, grief, or just this whole being alive thing. Healing our psychological pain is like finding our way out of the caves. It can be a beautiful, rewarding journey, but it can often lead us to feel lost, scared, and hopeless. Finding our way back to the light is possible, and so often, it is within the journey itself that we find our way out of the darkness. It can be difficult to navigate the depths alone, and I fiercely believe as humans, we're not meant to.
