Growing up on Cape Cod, I learned early how quickly conditions can change-from calm tides to unpredictable shifts—and I see a similar pattern in the emotional lives of my clients. Life transitions such as shifts in identity, relationships and changes in family or professional roles can create significant psychological strain. These periods often surface symptoms of anxiety, mood disturbance, role confusion, and a sense of disconnection from oneself.
