I am an LMFT, mother of two, first generation college graduate, Senior Leader at a community-based MHO and coffee enthusiast. I was raised by a single mother and an army of strong Latinas, along with the opinions and judgments of a traditional Mexican household. I've had my share of generational trauma and the struggles that come with navigating a culture you are being measured against that clashes with the one you are being raised in. I am not new to being 'the first' and find that this has become somewhat of a superpower and motivating force in my life.
