Lexy brings experience from a variety of professional roles and settings. These roles have included Research Assistant, where she studied the barriers to accessing pre-natal care, Crisis Helpline Advocate, where she provided crisis counselling and resource referrals to DV/SA survivors, Chief Community Builder at an elementary school, where she provided behavioral support to students and community outreach, and most recently, Program Coordinator for a public health-focused AmeriCorps program. Across these experiences, Lexy has found that she’s most drawn to work that empowers children, mothers, and families.
