My joy as a therapist,with 38 years experience, is in facilitating the opening of the heart and the subsequent unfolding into the deeper recesses of one's true inner being, the human soul, with all its loving and creative potential. Childhood neglect and or abuse, adult losses, addictions, grief, and trauma when understood with compassion, begin to open our hearts. Love, joy, creativity, spontaneity, curiosity about life are often compromised when one has not experienced sufficient openhearted acceptance.The defense mechanisms we necesarily develop keep at bay our deepest dreams and longings. My focus is Individual adults and Couples in an in-depth therapy process that reestablishes a deep sense of trust and belonging. I am excellent at working with people with acute trauma, and those looking for more meaning in life. I use talk therapy,dreams, art therapy and journaling.
