Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to be in the mental health field. I felt like I was good at listening, and helping people has always been my goal. Initially, I worked as a school counselor, focusing on children. After years in that role, I wanted to do even more, so I established a private practice where I worked with a range of people and conditions. OCD is so poorly understood that even highly trained general therapists often lack the necessary information to treat it. Specializing in OCD felt like a natural fit for me, especially after seeing its impact on many kids I worked with in schools.
