Starting counseling can be scary AND courageous! My purpose as a therapist is to support you along the path to making positive changes in your life. Sometimes we feel stuck. Counseling offers hope, understanding, and a safe place to talk about hard things. Every individual I work with has a story to tell. I consider how life events can influence one's perception of themselves, their relationships, and the world. Through practical skills, empathy, and compassion, I help clients manage the stuff that keeps them stuck so they can begin to move towards the life they desire. Anxiety, OCD, stress management, and relationships are my areas of expertise. I take an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach to my work with clients, while combing other modalities when appropriate. I utilize ERP and I-CBT for OCD and anxiety treatment, and am also trained in EMDR therapy which can be helpful to address trauma.
