I see individuals and couples struggling with issues stemming from ADHD, substance abuse, relational problems, and early attachment ruptures. My approach is emotionally-focused and dynamic, meaning the focus of therapy is what's happening moment to moment in session rather than in the past. As collaborators, we will begin with building capacity to slow down, observe, and attend to automatic, often unconscious patterns that lead to suffering. My work is informed by IFS and ISTDP (Intensive, Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy). Somewhat different than traditional talk therapy, you may expect see improvement from our very first session.
