My work is driven by the core belief that people can change. My goal is to help you have the kind of experiences, interactions and intimate relationships you want in your life so that you can feel connected, seen, and valued. I find that old wounds from past trauma can reopen in present day life experiences. I help my clients sort out what happened then and what is happening now. We’ll talk about how you feel about it and I’ll listen closely and empathically to what you both say and don't say. After that, we can work together to figure out the next steps to set boundaries and express what you need in a way that others can hear. I am a licensed mental health counselor and art therapist with advanced post graduate training in trauma, EMDR, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I welcome using various forms of art making in treatment and find that both connecting to one's bodily sensations and reflecting on creative outlets can help us more deeply understand your emotional experiences.
