I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing transitions: divorce, separation, a new diagnosis of a mental illness or chronic physical illness, coming out as an LGBTQ individual, and discovering you have a child with a learning disability, ADD/ADHD, or a child on the autism spectrum. I also enjoy working from the perspective of narrative therapy, because we always have the opportunity to "rewrite" our life story at any time. Part of therapy is rewriting our life story and narrative, and I greatly enjoy being part of this rewriting process with clients.
