Therapy is a great avenue to take a step inward and begin hearing your own voice, understanding yourself, and hopefully helping you begin the journey of self- acceptance and self-love. Therapy is not only for those suffering with serious mental illnesses. Life is hard, we all have our own form of suffering. There is no shame is needing help navigating hardships or emotional pain. I believe perspective holds a lot of power and many of us are walking around with the voices of others in our heads rather than allowing ourselves to be true to who we are.
