Have you noticed yourself having a hard time managing overwhelming emotions, and/or feeling anxious, distracted, irritable, or unable to finish certain tasks? When thinking about a distressing event, does it feel as if you're experiencing it for the first time? These symptoms are typical after experiencing a traumatic event, as your brain works to protect itself. As you know, these symptoms can interfere with your life in a very big way, oftentimes presenting as unpleasant sensations, feelings, and images. Together we can cross the bridge to a more hopeful future. I treat first responders, teenagers, and/or trauma survivors.
