Due to the high demand for effective group therapy, at this time I am only accepting group therapy clients. Group therapy is often the answer for people who have read a million self help books, have been in one-on-one therapy for years, and have tried all kinds of meds, but their anxiety hasn't gotten better. My groups are a good fit for anyone who believes 3 devastating myths about mental health: 1) I'm the only one who has this problem, 2)I am crazy or will go crazy 3) my symptoms are so severe, so unique, so chronic that I am incurable. Most people with a mental disorder don't know anyone else with the same disorder who's working on recovery. They've tried to talk to family and friends, but their loved ones don't get it, and judge them as odd, irrational, scary or ridiculous. Many times, a person won't get better until they have a group of similar people on their side.
