I have many years of experience working in the therapy environment, first as a speech language pathologist and then as a mental health counselor. Perhaps more significant than my training and experience has been my own personal journey dealing with obsessive compulsive disorder since the age of 11. The common factor through all these experiences, both personal and professional, is the need to be heard, valued, and respected. Feeling isolated and alone, no matter what the struggle may be, is a burden I understand.
