Hello! My name is Mareta, I am a pre-licensed professional at Grove Counseling Center in Downers Grove, IL. I work with all ages, as well as couples both in person and online. Together, we will create a space where you can slow down, be honest about what hurts, and begin making sense of your story at a pace that feels safe for you. My Polynesian identity is an important part of who I am and how I practice. I hold deep respect for community, family, spirituality, and the wisdom carried in our bodies. Whether you share a Polynesian background, or identify with another culture, I aim to honor all of your intersecting identities. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, attachment-based, person-centered, psychodynamic, somatic, choosing tools that best fit your needs and personality. We'll explore not only "why" things are happening but also "what now?" so you leave sessions with concrete tools for managing emotions, relationships, and daily stress.
