I'm a bilingual/bi-cultural (English/ Spanish) counselor with 25 years of experience working with individuals, groups, and families addressing life challenges: depression, anxiety, anger management, panic disorder, trauma, PTSD, career challenges, parenting difficulties, chronic low self-esteem, family relations and relationship difficulties. Because therapy should not last a life time, we address issues outside your awareness which interfere with your ability to succeed in life. Then, we focus in building your capacity to address life with a healthier approach. I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge acquired through my practice, teaching at various universities and numerous trainings including intercultural knowledge. I provide individual therapy for adult and children experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, codependence and unwanted changes using EMDR therapy. (see www.emdr.com). I also empower families with difficulties, addictions and poor parenting skills using family system strategies, coping skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution, positive discipline, communication skills, and family mediation.
