About
Change is an inevitable part of life. When we experience life transitions, such as grief and loss, our place in the world can feel disorienting and uncertain. Each stage of life offers its own set of challenges, all of which can make our circumstances seem unpredictable, creating feelings of anxiety and depression. When we attempt to bypass these events without acknowledging them, these patterns may show up in our habits, thoughts, and relationships. Sorting through the content of these changes and the feelings that emerge can feel overwhelming if we attempt to engage this process on our own. I utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy that emphasizes your strengths. Body-centered and expressive arts techniques may be used depending on your interest. Sessions may draw from a variety of modalities including Gestalt, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and/or sensorimotor psychotherapy to help foster a mind-body connection.
