I am a bilingual (English & Spanish), faith-based Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut. I have 20 years experience in various mental health settings, such as community mental health agencies, hospitals, and private practice. I have a holistic approach to mental wellness, exploring the mind-body-spirit connection. While my traditional approach to therapy is psychodynamic, I also include cognitive behavior modalities to my work. Irrespective of religion, the overarching theme of my work is using faith and spirituality as central to the healing process. Helping people understand their unique stories and patterns provides a link to understanding current challenges and issues. My approach to treatment begins with a holistic assessment of how the client is taking care of their mind, body and spirit. I use various therapeutic interventions, while the therapeutic relationship becomes central for growth.
