Hi. My name is Marie Velasco and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California. I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing a variety of life stressors and work towards finding practical coping skills to help manage and reduce the symptoms they are experiencing. Empathy, acceptance, growth and safety are the cornerstones of my practice. I use a blended, integrative approach to therapy in order to address each person as an individual. Some of the theoretical approaches you'll find in my work are CBT, DBT, solution focused and mindfulness, to name a few.
