I’m Mariyam, an Afghan-American, bilingual (Farsi & English) speaking counseling intern pursuing my Master’s in Counseling and Community Psychology. I have a strong clinical focus through my job as a medical assistant, internships in family medicine and integrated behavioral health settings, as well as serving as a Behavioral assistant at the Center for Disability Services. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, trust, and cultural sensitivity, with a focus on individualized care and reducing stigma around mental health. I am passionate about helping clients achieve personal growth and make positive, lasting changes.
