I do what I do because therapy worked for me. More than just the struggle, mental illness leads to self-doubt and confusion; finally asking for help changed everything for me. The support I found provided solace and healing, and inspired me to dedicate my life to helping others achieve healing and change. Seeing others come out of the depths is what means the most to me. Throughout my career I've worked in a variety of settings, including medical and mental health hospitals, intensive outpatient, and residential addiction treatment centers, employee assistance programs, and now private practice.
