I hold dual certification as a Family and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (FNP, PMHNP) with 25+ years of experience in a wide range of professional NP roles (clinical, management, educator). Graduating from Georgetown University with a BSN, I practiced as an RN & 10yrs later completed a masters at the University of New Mexico leading to FNP certification. After decades of involvement in health promotion activities that have dovetailed with my career, the mental health challenges that I observed while working on the front lines of the pandemic inspired me to complete the second masters degree.
