As a client, I would want you to be willing to open yourself up to me in whatever capacity is comfortable to you. There is no issue too big for me, and I want to work with clients from all backgrounds who all have unique stories to tell. As your therapist, my expertise & knowledge will always influence my practice to help you as my client but the main point will always be to cultivate and grow a genuine connection with you. I want to get to know who you are as a person and what that looks and feels like. It is only when a real bond is built between us that real growth can cultivate.
