Welcome to my profile! If you’re here, you’ve already taken a tremendous step. Contemplating seeking professional help can be a daunting prospect, however, once you’ve met with a therapist you may well start feeling better already. My goal is to create the kind of environment that feels safe enough to explore whatever issue is causing you distress, and to work with you in exploring options for relieving that discomfort. I believe people come to counseling for numerous reasons, but all with the same goal, to feel better. In my work in this field, I have enjoyed working in several different areas. Those include relationship issues (traditional and non-traditional), child development, substance use / misuse, depression, anxiety, trauma, maternal mental health, and first and second-generation acculturation issues.
