Hello! My name is Melissa Jong Won Choi (she/her/hers) and I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor and Licensed Associate Art Therapist. People would describe me as gentle, nurturing & empathetic. I have worked with clients in hospital settings, in-home, & PHP/IOP programs, and specialize in bipolar disorder, anxiety, & depression. My ideal client would be someone navigating a life transition – planned or unexpected. Whether you're dealing with daily stressors, or exploring your identity during a major life shift, I’m here to support your growth and resilience. I specialize in using tools from solution-focused therapy and CBT/DBT, while also offering art therapy for those who connect more deeply through creative expression. I’m also a second generation Asian-American who speaks fluently, and I understand the unique challenges of navigating two cultures, generational expectations, identity, and belonging.
