Hello, I am Melissa, a trained and motivated therapist who can recognize the positives amid challenges and adversity, and who is willing to devote the time necessary to help others. I am people-oriented, responsible individual who is committed to helping others to reach their goals. I have a diverse background with over 15 years of experience in the counseling profession, and 6 years as a content supervisor at the American Psychological Association have provided me with extensive knowledge of psychological research as it relates to the counseling field. Having faced challenges and believed I had to handle them alone, receiving therapy during transitions truly changed my life. Therapy has helped me to become a person I'm very proud of. Being an empath and someone people naturally gravitate to, and learning from others' experiences, has helped them feel seen and heard.
